The universe of Money Heist continues to expand. Starting May 15, the new chapter of the series dedicated to Berlin premieres, once again starring Pedro Alonso. The new story follows the famous criminal in a complex international operation centered around one of the most iconic paintings in art history.
The project, created and developed by Álex Pina and Esther Martínez Lobato, further expands the Money Heist spin-off universe, moving the action to a new European setting where art, deception, and manipulation become the core of the narrative.
A Heist Driven by Revenge and Manipulation
The plot revolves around the alleged commissioned theft of Lady with an Ermine, the famous masterpiece by Leonardo da Vinci. What initially appears to be a straightforward robbery quickly evolves into a far more intricate scheme where nothing is truly as it seems.
Leading the mission, Berlin coordinates his team through the streets of Seville, navigating a network of ambiguous relationships and power games. As the episodes unfold, new layers of manipulation emerge, while the protagonist once again showcases his strategic brilliance and relentless desire for revenge.
The cast also sees the return of Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, and Begoña Vargas. New additions include Inma Cuesta, José Luis García-Pérez, and Marta Nieto.
Production and a New Narrative Approach
The series retains the creative DNA that made Money Heist a global phenomenon while introducing a storytelling structure more focused on the preparation of the heist and the internal dynamics between characters.
Direction is handled by Albert Pintó, David Barrocal, and José Manuel Cravioto, who aim to deliver a fast-paced story with a strong visual identity.
With this new chapter, the world of Berlin once again attempts to captivate international audiences, shifting the focus not only to the robbery itself but also to the art of manipulation.
