The official trailer for Citadel 2 has been released, marking the return of the series on Prime Video. The new season will premiere on May 6, 2026, continuing the global spy universe created by the Fratelli Russo.
Following its first season, the show returns with a larger narrative scope, expanding the world of secret intelligence agencies while keeping action and international intrigue at its core.
A new global mission
At the center of the second season are Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, played by Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who are called back into action to face a new global threat.
Bernard Orlick, portrayed by Stanley Tucci, also returns as a key figure in rebuilding the team. The mission pushes the characters across multiple international locations, where shifting alliances and hidden agendas drive the story forward.
Cast and production
The main cast returns alongside new additions that further expand the ensemble. New season newcomers include Jack Reynor, Matt Berry, and Merle Dandridge, adding new layers to the narrative.

With Citadel 2, the franchise continues to evolve after the cancellation of the previously planned spin-offs Citadel: Dianaand Citadel: Honey Bunny. The focus now returns to the main storyline, reinforcing the core identity of the series within Prime Video’s global catalog.
The new season represents a fresh step forward for the franchise, emphasizing action-driven storytelling, high-stakes missions, and an increasingly interconnected spy universe.
