Among the most acclaimed titles presented at last year’s Berlinale Series Market, Raza Brava is a story of violent rebellion whose roots stretch back to the 1970s, during the Pinochet dictatorship. It offers a social and anthropological look at the most extreme fringes of organized football fandom in South America.
After a street fight, Carlos and Clavo forge a friendship on the outskirts of Santiago, shaped by soccer and dictatorship. As adults, they join Colo-Colo’s supporters’ group and enter a world of mafia and violence. After the death of the Garra Blanca’s historic leader, Carlos – now known as Barti – rises as his successor.
