The Savant, a thriller miniseries starring Jessica Chastain, is set to arrive on Apple TV+ in July 2026. Originally scheduled for 2025, the project was postponed and is now preparing for its release on the streaming platform.
The Academy Award-winning actress, who is also attached as an executive producer, recently confirmed the series’ release. Following an initial suspension, the project has been rescheduled, with a new launch window set for summer 2026.
Directed by Matthew Heineman, the series is based on a 2019 investigative report and focuses on themes related to the prevention of violence. At the center of the story is a protagonist engaged in undercover operations. Throughout the episodes, Chastain’s character navigates digital environments and clandestine online networks, aiming to identify threats and intervene before they escalate.
The Savant is structured as an eight-episode miniseries and joins Apple TV+’s slate of thriller productions. The project underwent a period of reorganization that led to the delay of its original release schedule.
With the updated timeline, the series is now set to reach audiences with a narrative that combines investigation, technology and contemporary issues.
