Starting September 17th, the new production by Our Films—produced by Lorenzo Mieli, Gabriele Immirzi, and Mario Gianani, and directed by Pietro Daviddi and David Gallerano—will air on Rai Play.
The series follows the final school year of a class at the Vittoria Colonna languages high school in Rome. For an entire year, the whole class was filmed right up until their final exams, creating a collective narrative that brings out the deep emotions experienced in the classroom.
Divided into 12 episodes, the series captures every aspect of their world: oral exams at school, nights out, first loves, and evolving friendships. A sincere portrait of teenagers for whom real life and online life have become one and the same.
Fear of Being Alone
The title «FOMO» (Fear Of Missing Out) refers to the fear of being excluded: a central theme that runs through the entire series, shaping parties, leisure time, and private lives.
It acts as a true narrative thread defining the daily lives of this generation, caught between the myth of social media visibility and the fragility of interpersonal relationships.
School and out-of-classroom events become the main spaces for portraying a generation raised amid high expectations, widespread digitization, and a strong connection to physical reality.
Arisa’s music accompanies the story, creating a teen drama aesthetic that seamlessly blends with deep realism, where the characters seem to open up without filters. This musical and visual backdrop thus becomes the primary space where all these events take shape.
