Paramount+ has released the trailer for the fourth season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the spin-off set in the universe of Star Trek: Discovery.
The new season promises plenty of excitement and will continue the journey of the U.S.S. Enterprise crew while also paving the way toward the era of James T. Kirk.
The Fourth Season of Strange New Worlds
Produced by CBS Studios, Secret Hideout, and Roddenberry Entertainment, the fourth season is shaping up to be a pivotal chapter for the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Christopher Pike.
The trailer showcases the iconic characters exploring new regions of the galaxy, encountering previously unseen alien life forms, extraordinary adventures, and personal challenges that will test the courage and determination of the entire crew.
The series continues to balance self-contained episodes with a broader serialized narrative, capturing the exploratory spirit of the original Star Trek while embracing a modern approach.
With the confirmation that the fifth season will be the show’s final chapter, every episode carries even greater significance in the journey that will ultimately lead the Enterprise into Kirk’s era. The fourth season promises exploration, optimism, and grand space adventures—core elements of the Star Trek universe.
The main cast will return, including Anson Mount (Christopher Pike), Ethan Peck (Spock), Rebecca Romijn (Una Chin-Riley / Number One), Jess Bush (Christine Chapel), Christina Chong (La’an Noonien-Singh), Celia Rose Gooding (Nyota Uhura), Melissa Navia (Erica Ortegas), Babs Olusanmokun (Dr. Joseph M’Benga), Martin Quinn (Montgomery “Scotty” Scott), and Paul Wesley (James T. Kirk).
Premiere at the Italian Global Series
Among the festival’s most anticipated events is the premiere screening of the season’s first episode, giving audiences the opportunity to be among the first to discover the new chapter of the series.
The presence of the cast will further enhance the event, offering fans the chance to meet the stars, participate in special discussions and presentations, and enjoy an immersive Star Trek experience.
The initiative also reinforces the growing importance of the Italian Global Series as a key platform for launching and promoting major international television productions, which are increasingly featured in the festival’s programming.
Celebrating 60 Years of Star Trek
The initiative is also part of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of Star Trek, the series created by Gene Roddenberry in 1966 that has become one of the longest-running and most influential science-fiction franchises in television history.
In 2026, the franchise will commemorate this milestone with a year-long program of events and celebrations under the theme “Space for Everybody,” a message that reflects the saga’s original spirit and encourages audiences to imagine a future built on hope, exploration, and openness to the unknown, in keeping with Roddenberry’s vision.
The goal is to celebrate a storytelling universe that continues to evolve while keeping alive the invitation to “be bold” and to view space as a place that belongs to everyone.
