Italian Global Series 2026: Italian Fiction Competition

Italian Global Series 2026 is set to celebrate the best of Italian television production with the Italian Fiction Competition, the section dedicated to Italian series, miniseries, TV movies and comedy productions broadcast on television and streaming platforms over the past year.

The competition brings together the works that shaped the national audiovisual landscape between May 1, 2025 and April 30, 2026, highlighting the quality, diversity and evolution of contemporary Italian serial storytelling.

Selected productions will compete for the Maximo Awards, the official recognitions assigned by the Fiction Italiana Edita jury to the most representative works and talents of the year. The Awards will honor different creative and artistic categories, including Best Production, Best Director, Best Leading Actress, Best Leading Actor and Best Screenplay, celebrating the many professionals who contribute to the creation of successful television stories.

The jury of the competition brings together some of the main Italian audiovisual associations, thanks to the collaboration with AIR3, ANAC, ASA, LARA, UICD and Writers Guild Italia, cultural partners of the Festival. This partnership confirms Italian Global Series’ commitment to creating a space for dialogue between different areas of the audiovisual panorama.

With the Italian Fiction Competition, Italian Global Series highlights the vitality of contemporary Italian serial storytelling, celebrating productions and talents that continue to shape the identity of the national audiovisual landscape.

The Maximo Awards for Italian Fiction will be presented during the official events of Italian Global Series 2026, including the opening ceremony and the final awards ceremony.
