The International Competition of the second edition of Italian Global Series 2026 is preparing to showcase the very best of contemporary television storytelling, with figures that confirm its increasingly global dimension: 161 submissions from 34 countries and 21 selected series representing 15 nations.
A broad and diverse selection that reflects the many languages and forms of international serial storytelling, offering audiences and industry professionals an opportunity to discover emerging trends and new perspectives in television and streaming productions.
The competing titles will be evaluated by the international juries of the Competition’s three categories – Drama, Comedy and Limited Series – which will be responsible for awarding the Maximo Awards to the most outstanding projects in each section.
The Drama jury will be chaired by Marti Noxon, the acclaimed American screenwriter and producer whose work has helped shape contemporary television. Joining her on the panel are actors Assaad Bouab and Maurizio Lombardi, director Lisa Mulcahy and composer Pivio.
For the Comedy category, the jury will be led by Bruno Gouery, the French actor and screenwriter known for his work across film and television. Serving alongside him are producer and actor Pier Giorgio Bellocchio, producer and director Rudy Buttignol, and actresses Katia Fellin and Kaze.
The Limited Series jury will be chaired by Nicholas Meyer, the renowned American writer, producer and screenwriter. The panel will also include actors Victor Alli, Francesca Inaudi and Tom Wlaschiha, together with actress and producer Amanda Righetti.
The diversity of backgrounds and expertise represented across these juries reflects the spirit of the International Competition itself: fostering dialogue between cultures, genres and creative disciplines while celebrating a form of storytelling that increasingly transcends geographical and linguistic boundaries.
