After the special episode focused on Richie and Mikey, The Bear is preparing to bring its story to a close. FX has officially announced the release date for the fifth season of the series starring Jeremy Allen White. The new season will premiere on June 25, 2026 on Hulu in the United States and on Disney+ internationally, including Italy.
The final chapter will consist of eight episodes released simultaneously on streaming platforms, marking the last stage in the journey of chef Carmy and the Chicago’s restaurant team.
Carmy steps away from the kitchen
The new season picks up after the events of the previous chapter. Following Carmy’s decision to step away from the restaurant, Sydney, Richie and Natalie are left trying to keep the business running in an increasingly unstable situation.
Moreover financial struggles, internal tensions and the real possibility of losing everything place the group under growing pressure. At the center of the story is also the pursuit of a Michelin Star, an ambition that continues to shape the characters’ relationships and emotional balance.
The main cast returns in The Bear 5
Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Abby Elliott all return for the final season, alongside the ensemble that helped define the world created by Christopher Storer.
The announcement arrives just days after the release of Gary, the standalone special episode centered on Richie and Mikey’s past. The chapter expanded the emotional background of the series and appears to set the stage for the events of the final season.
Rather than focusing only on the restaurant itself, The Bear 5 aims to conclude the personal journeys of its protagonists, exploring ambition, responsibility and the complicated relationships built inside the kitchen.
